Operational workshop “The places of waste collecting in the city”
Location : People’s Committee of Khuong Thuong Ward, Dong Da District,
388 Truong Chinh, Khuong Thuong, Dong Da, Hanoi
Study Site : Truong Chinh Road (section between Ton That Tung Street and Tay Son Street)
Participants : 30 persons (delegates, officers from People’s Committee, delegates of the quarter, researchers, waste collectors in the quarter, URENCO, etc.)
Introduction
The objective of the workshop is to reunite all the actors concerned : territorial authorities, inhabitants, waste collecting services, experts, teachers, researchers, multidisciplinary students (architects, town planners, engineers, biologists, education, tourists ...) in a small project for development of waste deposits in the city.
The idea is to enhance all actors’ awareness concerning the path of waste in order to facilitate their participation in waste collecting, sorting and its treatment.
It is also an opportunity to try out the participatory approach that JEAI Recycurbs has carried out on the field with the analyses of activities scales of all the actors participated in waste collecting and recycling system.
